Trying to improve my photography skills

I recently spent some time with my bestie learning how to take better photos. I will admit (I hope she doesn't read this!!), that I was completely overwhelmed. Well, it wasn't really that bad but from knowing nothing but turning my camera to auto, to learning all about shutterspeed, ISO, lighting and more - it was a big learning curve! I think I have an even greater respect for professional photographers now than I did before (and I already had a lot).

In future, I would love to do this Craftsy course in photography by Caro Sheridan - Shoot It! A Product Photography Primer. Perhaps that is a summer challenge when I have a little more time.

I'm hoping to borrow a better camera as I think mine has limitations. I would also like to learn a little more about editing as I think I can do better.

Anyway - what do you think of my favourites? I might be biased as I think I have gorgeous models wearing my gorgeous creations but I didn't do too badly for my first time right?

Check out my Facebook page to see them all.

  1. I really need to work on my photography!!! As in your photos, cute models and gorgeous clothes, definitely help. Your photos show more than that, though... great backgrounds, good lighting, interesting angles and probably lots of things I'm unaware of that make them great photos. I am improving, but I have a long way to go.
