She has two gorgeous little ones - Edison and Vincent - and makes gorgeous clothes for them. I'm so lucky she joined our little blog tour as she does quite a few of them! Thank you Ari. It is certainly worth looking at her interpretations of the different pattern blog tours she has been part of. Always something just a little different, ya know?!?
Ari is sharing with us a tutorial for, in her own words, this 'ridiculously frilly girly tee'.
Toni from Sew Jereli is joining Ari today (just realised they were matched together for the Prefontaine Shorts World Tour recently - total fluke!). Toni sews for her two gorgeous boys but shares all sorts of sewing tips and tricks and tutorials along the way (like these pj pants). I really want to join her in the 'Make the Basics' challenge, even more so since making the shirt for my son which I blogged about on Sunday. I had some gorgeous knit fabric arrive last night and plan to make some more soon.
Toni sent me a little sneak peek of the fabric which she is using to make something for herself with for Spring. Fantastic! I really should do something for myself. One day ...
Patterns Only Giveaway
The amazing Louise from The Oz Material Girls has also donated a prize from Patterns Only for today's giveaway.
Your choice of 10 epatterns to the approximate value of $100 |
For this giveaway, you need to head to the website (link for just the epatterns) and tell me which pattern you would like to choose for a Spring project and why. I'm judging based on creativity so I want to know if you are trying something new, sewing something for yourself, have a baby on the way and need a new shirt or whatever!

Thanks for the comp - I would put my hand up for A+ SKIRT A-LINE MAKE IT PERFECT PDF ePATTERN Sz 3xSml -2x lge. Yes I'll get the delightful "chub rub". Yes there's no doubt when the wind whips up I'll flash my knickers, but when someone asks did I make that awesome skirt I will say yes :) & be very proud of myself (before noticing that I've spilt something down the front LOL).
ReplyDeleteI would love to try to make something for me (I have only been sewing a year and haven't made anything for me yet) so I think the STUDIO MAXI DRESS GREENSTYLE PDF ePATTERN Xs-Xl would be perfect as I love a long dress and it is so hard to find dresses to hide my tuckshop lady arms (lol)
ReplyDeleteI would definitely take on the BALI BUTTERFLY QUILT KOOLKAT QUILTING PDF ePATTERN. I have been stalking Bargello quilts for some time now but it is a love/hate relationship and I don't want to commit to a full one. I think that butterfly quilt will give me just the short-term affair that I need to know if it is really love. Plus the piano key border looks delicious so even if the relationship busts I can play my blues....
ReplyDeleteI think thr reversible craft bag Lily Blossom would be right near the top of ky list. I bought a pair of wooden handles 4 years ago, and they've been taunting me ever since! Although the A+ a-line skirt would look lovely in the melody miller border fabric I bought months ago!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love looking through all the gorgeous girly clothes patterns, i would say my fave right now is the Foo foo threads Alexia bodice dress, wow my girls would love it!!
ReplyDeleteJust wondering where the winners were announced? :)
